“Only then did he realize he was not in the middle of a sentence,
but in the middle of the street.” –Nikolai Gogol
I am easily distracted by words. I’m a writer, editor, bookaholic. Magazines and papers, too.
One thing I’m absolutely not is a book snob. My favorite writers range from Sophie Kinsella to Michael Ondaatje to E.L. Konigsburg to P.G. Wodehouse to J.K. Rowling. And, I just discovered a wonderful Marvel Graphic take on Pride & Prejudice!
Seriously, can anyone limit their number of Favorite Books?
I welcome reading suggestions … and also bookstore recommendations. So please send them along.

I’m so glad to hear that you are not a book snob! I think it is such a shame when people are, almost as if they have forgotten what the true point of reading is about. It’s not something that is supposed to be used to belittle people or to show as a trophy in your house, but simply to enjoy and escape. 🙂 We all get a little bit of it now and again, it is hard not to, but I hate it if I even catch myself doing it!
Thought I would stop by and take a better look at your blog as last time I visited I was somewhat sleep deprived from the readathon, LOL.

I’m still a bit sleep deprived, haha. I’m glad we got to know eachother via Readathon. The book I’m MOST excited about right now is Wedding Night, the newbie by Sophie Kinsella. Had to stop reading it during Readathon b/c want to savor. Have you read her–escapist and hilarious!!!

Absolutely love Sophie Kinsella – have all of her books apart from Wedding Night because I’m waiting on the paperback version 🙂 I think Shopaholic Ties the Knot is my personal favourite!
